Thank you so much for your comments on my post about how much we like to cook.
Here are some photos of a night where we made some ottolenghi inspiried dishes for dinner.

#1 Hummus with coriander and matza
#2 The rest are
- steamed asparagus with olive oil and lemon juice, salt & pepper
- roasted carrots with all sorts of spices
- and Mejadra, an amazing dish with lots of spices, herbs, lentils and rise, fried onion and yoghurt on top (amazing, from Jerusalem/Ottolenghi)

I have been making mejadra a lot too. My version has no spices, just deeply caramelised onions and plenty of salt. Good with fresh tomatoes and sumac sprinkled on top. What kind of spices did you use?

Ooh das sieht wieder so gut aus. Deine Fotos und euer Essen harmonieren einfach ganz wundervoll. Ich verkneife mir schon die ganze Zeit, aus Sparsamkeitsgründen, das schöne Jerusalem Buch anzuschaffen. Aber ich glaube, ich komme nicht mehr lange drum rum :)

@anonymous: we fried cinnamon and all-spice and sumac in the beginning and added coriander in the end. it was so delicious
